The famous pilgrimage centre is located about a 100 kms. from the resort in Lohit district. Legend has it that the sage Parashuram cleansed his sins by bathing at the kund. Here thousands of devotees flock to take a dip in the waters of the kund during Makar Sakranti. It is located amidst pristine endowments of nature.
About 20 kms. behind Parashuram Kund is Kamlang Wildlife Sanctuary shelters a vast variety of fauna. 105 species of birds and 61 species of mammals have been identified here. All four big cats including Snow Leopard, Clouded Leopard, Leopard and Tiger are the common inhabitants. Certain endangered species such as Himalayan Palm Civets, Leopard Cat, Slow Lories and Hoolock Gibbon can also be spotted in the sanctuary. Other species commonly found here are Giant and Flying Squirrels, Hornbills, Deer, Civets, Boar, Capped Langur, Stump Tailed Macaque etc.
It is a serene lake stashed away in the wilderness of Kamlang Wildlife Sanctuary in Lohit district. It is spread over a vast area at a high altitude and geographically located between 270 41’ 37’’N and 270 42’ 7’’ N latitude and 960 26’ 45’’ E and 960 27’ 33’’ E longitude. Mesmerizingly, Glow Lake is tucked amidst lush green forests and lofty hills from all sides. The lake is accessible from Wakro, the Orange valley of Arunachal Pradesh near famous pilgrimage site Parshuram Kund. A fresh water lake spread across an area of 8 sqkm. at 5000 feet ASL amidst virgin forests has become a major attraction for nature enthusiasts and those searching for solace.
